9 months!

Happy 9 month birthday Hud!!  He has become quite the little monkey lately!  He loves to climb all over anyone playing with him.  And he has completely forgotten how to sit still!!  he loves to stand up, it is his new favorite activity.  Still not crawling yet, but trying so hard!  Last night he figured out how to scoot backwards.  He is still eating great and now loves to feed himself---Cheerios, carrots, green beans, peas, peaches, bananas.  We go to the doctor on Monday, so we will see how much he has grown.  Taking his monthly pictures was a little difficult today, we couldn't figure out why he wouldn't give us a big smile.  Afterward we discovered that he still had a carrot in his mouth from dinner (that was like 20 minutes before).  He will keep food in his mouth forever, just sucking on it, gross!!!  I think he knew if he laughed or smiled big his precious carrot would escape.  Silly kid.  Today our neighborhood had a fall carnival, so we took Hudson over.  We got to ride behind a tractor on a hay ride, which he LOVED!  The whole trip he just kicked his legs and squealed, it was so funny.  Enjoy his pics!

8 months!!

Our big boy is 8 months old!!  Can't believe it, seems like just yesterday I was posting his 7 month pictures.  He has definitely become much more curious this month, he wants to grab and touch EVERYTHING!!!  He is trying to figure out the whole crawling thing, but so far he hasn't gotten it yet.  Which might be a blessing for the rest of us because I have a feeling  he is going to be all over the place and getting in to everything!!!  He is still eating great and has started feeding himself little finger foods.  He also finally has his first tooth peeking through, yay!!  It must feel funny to him because he always has his hands in his mouth feeling it and rubbing his tongue across it.  Here are some pics for the month, including some from our recent trip to the Dallas Arboretum with some of friends.

7 months!

Happy 7th month birthday Hudson!!  He celebrated this weekend by going to the lake to hang out with his new friend Elliana.  The weather was great, so Hudson got to sit outside and play all day, which he loved!  We are still waiting for that first tooth...hmm....he has been a grumpy man the past week, so we are thinking he is getting a tooth, but still no sign of it.  He is still doing great with eating.  He takes after his Poppa and refuses to eat broccoli!  His new favorite thing is to suck on slices of cucumber, it must feel good on his teeth.  Here are some pics...

Sweet Summertime

Hudson has been a very busy boy this summer.  This past weekend we went to Gilmer to see Granny and Grandaddy.  Taylor and Grady also met us there.  Hudson got to go hiking in the woods, decorate Daddy's birthday cake and show off for Granny.  Here are some pics...

6 months!

Happy 1/2 birthday Hudson!  Can't believe he is already half way through his first year.  Here is a little teaser...the pictures from this month are so flippin cute!!  I just want to eat him up :)  He went to the doctor on Thursday and now weighs 15 lbs and 3 oz (which puts him in the 10th percentile).  But his head is huge, it is the 50th percentile! I think it's just because he is so smart, and we all know where he gets that from, wink wink.  He had to get more shots and that made him furious.  After he got his shot he screamed and then calmed down for a second, then he saw the nurse again and he looked right at her and started screaming again.  It was funny, he is not her biggest fan.  He is still eating like a champ, he hasn't found a food he doesn't like.  He also LOVES to drink water from a cup.  And not a sippy cup, he would much prefer a big boy cup.  He still doesn't have any teeth yet.  He is also working really hard at sitting up.  He can do it on his own for a few seconds, then topples over.  He has mastered rolling from his stomach to his back and now refuses to spend any time on his tummy, he just immediately rolls over, silly kid.  Gabby is still his very best friend, he loves to watch and pet her.  Poor Reese gets mad because Hudson likes to pull her hair.  And here are the cute pics....
