Big H is now 5 months old. Time flies when you are having fun!! He has started doing so many fun things over the last month. He has really started to grab more things, such as my earrings and food on the dinner table. He has also learned to make a grunting noise, which he feels the need to do ALL the time. He is still obsessed with his toes, they are the most fun play toy that he has. And he is ALWAYS kicking, he never stops moving those legs. His favorite game is to put toys, burp clothes, laundry or just whatever on his legs and then let him kick everything off. He thinks it is hilarious. He also thinks Reese and Gabby (my parents' dog) are so much fun to watch. He loves to sit outside while the dogs play with the frisbee and watch them go back and forth. He is still eating really well and sleeping great at night. We are still working on rolling over....he is being a stubborn little boy. Here are some pics!

Big day!

Today has been a fun day in our house, it is Ryan's first Father's Day and my 29th Birthday!! Ryan's parents were in town for the weekend for a wedding, so they were also here to help us celebrate. We have had a fun day filled with church, eating out and hanging out at home. And don't forget the cake!! Here are some pics!

Fat and Happy

Hudson had his first taste of real food today and he LOVED it! He kept opening his mouth when he saw the spoon and he ate the whole bowl of food. I think he is upset with us for keeping food a secret from him for 4.5 months, haha. Our little chunky monkey loves to eat. He just had rice cereal today, so we will see in a few weeks what he thinks of other flavors. Here is a video and some pics (please ignore my annoying voice in the video, haha)

Travelin Man

Hudson got to do some traveling over the weekend to see all of his favorite people. We started out the weekend in Temple to celebrate my cousin Brock's high school graduation. Yay Brock! Then the next day we celebrated my Pawpaw's 83rd birthday! It was so fun to have everyone together. Hudson was finally able to meet some more aunts, uncles and cousins. My cousin Melinda has a daughter, Brenna, born just 8 days before Hudson, so it was fun to see them together. Sunday night we headed to the Hill Country to see Millie, Papa John, Uncle Todd and Aunt Morgan. Hudson is a big fan of the Hill Country and of his aunt and uncle (it was his first time to meet them). He also got to go for a swim in a big pool, which he LOVED! He had so much fun swimming with daddy. He was constantly kicking his little feet under the water. And then we made the long drive back home. Hudson did great in the car, I was nervous, but he was a little trouper. Now we are all exhausted, but glad to be back home. Here are some pics...

Four months

Big H is now four months old. Poor guy had to go to the doctor today and get shots. He cried and cried and cried big boy tears, so sad! The doctor said he is still doing great. He now weights 13 pounds and 9 ounces!! Over the last few days he has started laughing at loud, so now he can text all his friends LOL and really mean it :) He has also gotten really good at reaching for his toys and putting them in his mouth. His currently favorite is his Moose. He is trying to roll over, but only makes it to his side before he gives up. He is still sleeping through the night, usually from 9 pm to 6 am and takes great naps during the day. Here are some recent pics...

Mother's Day

Happy First Mother's Day to me! It was a great day. We started out the morning with baby dedication at church. Hudson was so good. I think he loved all of the attention standing at the front of the church. I'm pretty sure he knows how cute he is, haha. Then we headed over to Mimi's for lunch. Hudson finally got to meet his great grandfather, Pawpaw. My other grandparents also joined us, it is so fun that Hudson has the opportunity to know his great grandparents. There are not many kids who have that chance. Makes me really miss my Memaw (my maternal grandmother). Hudson inherited his red hair from her. She would have loved him! Millie and Poppa John were also able to come for the weekend. I don't know who has more fun when they are here, Hudson or Millie!!

Only one more week until his four month birthday. Next Monday we go for his four month shots...boo. Poor kid. He is still growing like crazy and never misses a meal, poor kid thinks he is going to starve if he has to wait two seconds to eat. I think he gets that from his daddy.
