It's my birthday, I'll get croup if I want to....

Happy First Birthday to my little red head!! Can't believe that it has been a year. Everyone says it will go by fast and they were so right. He has changed for a sweet little baby into a spunky little man. He had to start his weekend off with a bang by getting croup on Friday. He woke up about 9 pm having a little trouble breathing (he had stridor for all my PA friends!!). So we ended up taking him to the local ER to get him some medication. Some steroids and and epinephrine neb later...we were out the door feeling much better. In fact, he felt so much better that he wouldn't go to sleep. I think the steroids got him a little hyper (i joked that we should change his name to Lance Armstrong since he was all hyped up on steroids). So at 11 pm on Friday night Ryan and I were driving around Wylie trying to get him to fall asleep in the car. He woke up the next day feeling much better and ready for his party. It was a great party filled with lots of family! He had to keep in interesting again and hit his head on the floor and get a nice big goose egg on his forehead. Geez, child. He LOVED LOVED LOVED his cake...we finally had to take it away from him so he wouldn't get a tummy ache. He also LOVED playing with his cousins, he adores them. On his actual birthday (Sunday) he got to go out to eat at his favorite place (Cowboy Chicken) and play some more with the cousins. Overall he had a wonderful birthday!! Thanks to everyone for their presence, presents and love over the past year. Enjoy his bday pics...

Jingle bells, jingle bells...

Hudson wanted to tell everyone Merry Christmas a little late. Poor little guy didn't have the best first Christmas. A few days beforehand he developed a nasty cough, which was later diagnosed as bronchitis. He is now on anti biotics and doing better, thank goodness. He is so sad when he is sick!! Santa was very good to him this year, he got so many good toys and books. He loves all of his new stuff!! We started off the holiday by going on a quick trip to Gilmer to see the Hart side of the family. It was so fun to see everyone. We then came back home and celebrated Christmas Eve and Day with my family. Then a few days later Ryan's parents came in to town. I think Hudson is a little bored now since he is just stuck with us and not all his family here to entertain him. Boy does he LOVE all of the attention!! Here are some pics of the little man...
