Mother's Day

Happy First Mother's Day to me!  It was a great day.  We started out the morning with baby dedication at church.  Hudson was so good.  I think he loved all of the attention standing at the front of the church.  I'm pretty sure he knows how cute he is, haha.  Then we headed over to Mimi's for lunch.  Hudson finally got to meet his great grandfather, Pawpaw.  My other grandparents also joined us, it is so fun that Hudson has the opportunity to know his great grandparents.  There are not many kids who have that chance.  Makes me really miss my Memaw (my maternal grandmother).  Hudson inherited his red hair from her.  She would have loved him!  Millie and Poppa John were also able to come for the weekend.  I don't know who has more fun when they are here, Hudson or Millie!!

Only one more week until his four month birthday.  Next Monday we go for his four month shots...boo.  Poor kid.  He is still growing like crazy and never misses a meal, poor kid thinks he is going to starve if he has to wait two seconds to eat.  I think he gets that from his daddy.

3 months!!

Wow time flies when you are having fun.  Hudson is now three months old!!!  He has grown so much over the last month and it seems like most of that has gone right to his cheeks, haha.  He is definitely a much happier and more content little guy over the last several weeks.  He still loves his hands and has now learned to stick his tongue out and blow bubbles.  He also likes to play peek-a-boo and loves to sit and "talk" to you.  We are so in love with our little  man, here are his 3 month pictures...

Texas Tradition

Millie and Poppa John came in town for the weekend, so we had to take them out for a Texas tradition...pictures in the bluebonnets!!  Hudson tolerated it, but wasn't a big fan.  It was too windy for him, poor guy.  He would much rather be at home playing with his toys.  He is already a typical boy who doesn't like taking pictures.  It is been fun to see Millie and Poppa John, Hudson thinks they are hilarious!!  He has been showing off for them all weekend.  Here are some pictures....

Happy Easter!!

Hudson wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Easter!!  Our sweet boy is 11 weeks old and getting cuter by the second.  He recently discovered that he has hands and now he cannot get enough of them.  Apparently they taste delicious because he always wants to have them in his mouth.  His other favorite thing is to play outside.  He loves to just sit outside and look around and listen.  I think he is going to be our outdoor boy!!  He still hates tummy time and screams every time we attempt it.  That little one has a red-headed temper!!  But he is still sleeping great at night, which makes Mommy and Daddy much happier!  This week he also go to help Mimi bake some cakes, they were delicious.  Maybe Mimi will teach him all of her cooking skills.  Hudson loves his Mimi.  And Reese really loves that she gets to go to Mimi's house too for doggy daycare.  Reese is getting spoiled!!  Here are some pics from the last few weeks...

2 months (a day early!)

Our big boy will be two months old tomorrow!  He is getting so big!  I go back to work tomorrow (booo!) so I decided to take his 2 month pics a day early while I had some time.  We go for his 2 month check up later in the week, I can't wait to see how much he has grown.  Poor baby also has to get his shots, so that should be no fun for anyone!  Here are his 2 month pictures :)

7 weeks old!!

Our big boy is already 7 weeks old, I can't believe it!  I found some video that we took of him the first day we were home.  What a difference a few weeks makes!!  In the second video he is 4 days old, I took the first video today.

As you can see, he is such a wiggle worm now and likes to smile!  For the most part he is a pretty happy boy now.  We had a rough week a few weeks ago, he was having trouble with acid reflux.  It would hurt his little tummy and then he would scream and cry for hours!!  And then mommy would cry, it was just so sad watching him be in pain.  But he is on medication now and doing much better.  He has also started sleeping in his crib in his room at night, so that was a major accomplishment (though definitely harder for mommy than for Hudson).  I only have on week left until I go back to work, I can't believe it is going by so fast.  Here are a few more pics of our little guy.

It is impossible to get a good picture of him smiling because whenever he smiles he opens real wide and then looks up at the ceiling, so silly!!
