Hudson survived his first big vacation with the Hart family...woo hoooo!! We went skiing in Breckenridge, Colorado. It started out rough, but ended up great. The trip started with a 3 AM wake up call from American Airlines telling us that our flight was cancelled. Boooo. So after over an hour on the phone, we finally rebooked out flight, but instead of heading to Denver we were headed to Amarillo. Hudson did great on his first trip to the airport. We got to ride the shuttle bus to the airport, which he thought was amazing. He LOVES buses, but hasn't never been able to ride one. He also did great on the airplane. While we were pulling away from the gate he started waving at the guys on the ground and one of them waved back, he was so excited. We landed in Amarillo, then made the LONG drive to Breckenridge. The trip is supposed to take about 7.5 hours, but due to weather it took us almost 12 hours. Not cool American Airlines, not cool. Hudson was such a trooper though. We all took turns entertaining him in the back, singing songs, feeding snacks, throwing Chex cereal all over the back seat (AUNT PATTY!!!). My Aunt Patty was driving with us, she was awesome. She told us she felt like she was our take along Nanny. So now we have nicknamed her Nanny Patty. I have never been so thankful to get out of a car in my entire life. Then the real fun began. Hudson had so much fun playing with his cousins. He ADORES them. And Uncle Tyson taught him some new dance moves to "The Harlem Shake" song. He played a little in the snow...but wasn't the biggest fan, mostly because of the ridiculous clothing I made him wear to go outside. He looked like Randy from "A Christmas Story", the poor kid couldn't even move his arms. Everyone got to ski (except hud), including my niece and nephew, which was so much fun to watch. Hudson can't wait to do it again...but maybe minus the drive this time. I am a terrible mother and didn't take many pics...so this is all I have.

Celebrating Poppa's birthday before we left...yum...red velvet cake!!!
