Life Lately...

Helllllloooooo friends!!!!  Mom FINALLY let me back on the computer again so that I could update you with some ridiculously cute pictures of myself.   My last few months have been quite busy.  It's hard to look cute in between the strep, ear infection, stomach virus and hand-foot-mouth disease that I have experienced over the last several months.  Mom tells me that I need to stop licking the shopping cart at Target...but I have no idea what she is talking about :)  You may want to sit down for this....because there is about to be A LOT of pictures of me.  The cuteness might overwhelm you, so please be fully hydrated.

Let's first start with my trip to Houston.  Momma's friend Meghan was getting married, so we took a little trip to H-town.  We got to stay with Momma's BFF Katy, which was awesome.  She has two kids, which are now my besties, we had a blast.  I wish they lived closer....

And now let's move on to my trip to The San Antonio Zoo with Millie and Papa John.  It was awesome...except for the monkeys.  Can we please have a moment of silence for my new fear of monkeys.  Those things are crazy.  They fly through the air and make the most ridiculous noise.  I am not a fan.  I repeat, I am not a fan.  My favorite thing was the shark...I must take after my Uncle Todd (shot out to Uncle Todd!!!)

 Welcome!!

Dear Papa John

Dear Papa John,
I know that you were very sad when the Spurs lost.  You said you didn't care, but I could see it in your eyes.  It was  a sad day, a sad day indeed.  I would take Tim Duncan over Lebron James any day of the week.  For real.  So I've been practicing on my basketball skills for you...

I also thought you would enjoy watching me "help" Daddy put something together and use his tools!!

Bluebonnets

Hey peeps, its the Hudster again.  Can someone call my momma and tell her I AM SICK OF PICTURES!!!  She just keeps sayin that I am sooo cute...but really woman, I am done with the cute clothes and pictures.  Can you believe she had the nerve to take me to a field of flowers....and I wasn't even allowed to pick the flowers??  What is the point of that people??  She said if I picked a flower she would say...5 1 5 0 somebody call the Popo.  Not too sure what that was all about.  But nonetheless...I am devilishly handsome, so take a look at my pics.

These boots were made for walking....

Finally got a good video of the red head walking!!

Hudson is quite the character these days.  He has learned all sorts of new tricks in the past several weeks.  He can now meow like a cat, grrrr like a bear, say dog, ball and a lot of other gibberish.  He is also walking much better!!  He can now make a full loop around the living room without stopping.  And now when he wants a snack he walks to the pantry and start pointing and grunting!!  He also loves to imitate sneezing, sometimes with sound effects.  And can "jump".  He is also VERY into reading books this week.  He grabs one out of his box, then comes crawling over with a huge smile on his face.  Such a sweet, sweet boy.

Easter 2013

Hello to all my peeps, this is the Hud.  Wanted to wish everyone a happy Easter.  Mom let me take over the blog tonight so that I could tell you about my weekend.  They finally let me out of "the burbs" and let me out into the country!!  Man is the country good, can I get an amen?  First of all my Granny has the longest driveway I have even seen...I got my awesome walker out and took off. I walked up and down that driveway until the wheels almost fell of that thing.  It was intense my friends, intense.  Then my momma made me take a nap, LAME!!!  So I woke up early just to make her mad...and went outside again.  Then...I saw something that changed my life...A TRACTOR!!!  Yes, a tractor.  No, it is not John Deere Green, but it will do.  It will do.  Poppa thought he needed to mow, but I thought he needed to take me for a ride.  And boy did we ride.  He even let me drive.  A-MAZ-ING.   Now I get that whole Kenny Chesney thing---"She thinks my tractors sexy!!!"  Mimi still says that George Strait is the best of all times...but I don't think he has any songs about tractors.  Anyways...back to the tractor.  It was so fun.  Then later Poppa busted out the four wheeler...which is cool, but nothing as awesome as the tractor.  After dinner we got to go on a hike through the woods, save Gabby from the coyotes, and take one more look at the tractor before bed.  Then today momma made me get all dressed up in some really uncomfortable clothes to go to church.  I feel like I have been missing out.  Normally when we go to church Momma ships me off to the nursery, but today I got to go to big church.  Did you know they sing songs with pianos at big church??  That's right, mind blown.  They started singing "Up from the Grave He Arose" and I started dancing like a maniac.  I was getting my groove on in the pew.  I love me some Baptist Hymns like a fat kid loves cake (wait...I love cake, does that make me a fat kid???).  Then the preacher started preachin and I got kinda bored so Poppa had to take me out to find some other adventures.  The Momma insisted on taking MORE PICTURES.  Good grief woman, I know I am the cutest kid ever, but enough with the pictures.  And...the next thing I knew we were back home (I took a nice little nap on the way home).  So...all in all...great weekend.  Until next time, I will be dreaming of tractors. And since Momma went to all that trouble...I guess I can show off my insanely good looks with some pictures.

Peepaw and his walker

Silly Hudson still isn't walking, but this week he has gotten really good at walking behind one his toys.  He has been able to do it for a few months now, but he suddenly has decided that it is really fun and that he can go really fast.  He was taken up to five steps on his own...but still doesn't show much interest in walking on his own.  Hudson is a lot like his daddy...he doesn't get in a hurry about much and he does things on his own time.  Hudson looks so funny with his toy, he looks like an old man with a walker.  Poppa says it looks like he has a peg leg, haha.  He really likes to race down Mimi's driveway and try to get out in the street.  But mean Mimi always makes him come back!!  He is really good at turning it too, he just picks the whole thing up and goes the other direction.  So here are some videos of him..

His favorite game...to play "get daddy" and tickle him!

Amarillo by morning, up since 3 am...

Hudson survived his first big vacation with the Hart family...woo hoooo!!  We went skiing in Breckenridge, Colorado.  It started out rough, but ended up great.  The trip started with a 3 AM wake up call from American Airlines telling us that our flight was cancelled.  Boooo.  So after over an hour on the phone, we finally rebooked out flight, but instead of heading to Denver we were headed to Amarillo.  Hudson did great on his first trip to the airport.  We got to ride the shuttle bus to the airport, which he thought was amazing.  He LOVES buses, but hasn't never been able to ride one.  He also did great on the airplane.  While we were pulling away from the gate he started waving at the guys on the ground and one of them waved back, he was so excited.  We landed in Amarillo, then made the LONG drive to Breckenridge.  The trip is supposed to take about 7.5 hours, but due to weather it took us almost 12 hours.  Not cool American Airlines, not cool.  Hudson was such a trooper though.  We all took turns entertaining him in the back, singing songs, feeding snacks, throwing Chex cereal all over the back seat (AUNT PATTY!!!).  My Aunt Patty was driving with us, she was awesome.  She told us she felt like she was our take along Nanny.  So now we have nicknamed her Nanny Patty.  I have never been so thankful to get out of a car in my entire life.  Then the real fun began.  Hudson had so much fun playing with his cousins.  He ADORES them.  And Uncle Tyson taught him some new dance moves to "The Harlem Shake" song. He played a little in the snow...but wasn't the biggest fan, mostly because of the ridiculous clothing I made him wear to go outside.  He looked like Randy from "A Christmas Story", the poor kid couldn't even move his arms.  Everyone got to ski (except hud), including my niece and nephew, which was so much fun to watch.  Hudson can't wait to do it again...but maybe minus the drive this time.  I am a terrible mother and didn't take many pics...so this is all I have.

Celebrating Poppa's birthday before we left...yum...red velvet cake!!!
